Climate-neutral transition of transportation and social innovation

Whereas earlier techniques focused on system optimisation through user-centric approaches, latest attempts to design and implement widely accepted safe, sustainable, and resilient transport solutions set users to act in the green and digital transitions.

Social innovation enables the required changes in perceptions, attitudes and behaviors and promotes a cooperative and collaborative environment where citizens, academics, entrepreneurs, and public administrators work together to co-conceive, co-design, co-develop, co-implement and co-evaluate digital and energy transition towards climate-neutral transportation. Topics in the thematic track include:

  • social media and networks and transportation
  • participatory methods and applications
  • gamification and incentive schemes
  • transport and mobility living labs to foster social innovation
  • legal, ethical and integrity issues in transportation
  • new technologies, new job opportunities and human skills
  • transportation systems’ trustworthiness
