The 7th Conference on Sustainable Mobility – CSuM2024, held at Plastira’s lake, Karditsa, Region of Thessaly in Greece on 4 – 6 September 2024, was a resounding success, attracting 427 authors of 131 papers in 20 technical sessions and 83 program committee members from 40 countries. The event featured 5 special sessions presenting projects “Couriers Go Green!” (ERASMUS+), “ΙNVEST4Excellence”, “ESCALATE”, “NextETRUCK”, “URBANE”, “ELABORATOR”, “URBANA” and other European initiatives, tackling climate crisis and promoting resilient transportation systems.
Keynotes were addressed by the Governor of Thessaly, Prof. D. Kouretas, with topic “Flood Prevention Plan for the Region of Thessaly” and the designer and innovator of The Ultimate Sharing Service and its Disruptive Potentials for Urban Transport, Prof. A. Alessandrini.
The authors of nine papers received the Young Researchers Awards for best papers under each thematic track.
The Conference was organized by the University of Thessaly, Department of Civil Engineering, Traffic, Transportation and Logistics Laboratory – TTLog, in collaboration with the Department of Planning and Regional Development, Research Unit of Infrastructure Technology Policy and Development – RUITPOD.
