Stefanidis Foundation Building
Skyros 34007
Greece
The Stefanidis Foundation, located on the island of Skyros, Greece, was established in honor of the prominent Greek economist and professor Demosthenis Stefanidis. A native of Skyros, Stefanidis served as a professor of Public Finance at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and left a lasting legacy through his academic work and philanthropy. The foundation was created according to his will and aimed to support the local community by providing social services, including the operation of a care home for the elderly. It also reflected his dedication to education, with provisions for scholarships to students from the region, especially those pursuing studies in economics. Today, the building also houses the Skyros Municipal Council Chamber, the Community Center, and the offices of the Skyros Shipping Company (Skyros Shipping Co.), serving as a central hub for civic and social life on the island.
CSuM2026 activities will take place at three locations in Skyros Town (Chora), all within walking distance of each other.
